Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme

Please apply for free school meals, as your child may qualify for some extra funding that the school can use, this is called Pupil Premium. If your child is eligible for Free School Meals, you will receive a PE t-shirt and quarter zip jumper for free.

School dinners are completely free to all children in Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1 & Year 2) under the Government’s Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme.

The cost of a school dinner to those pupils in Key Stage 2 (Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 & Year 6) is £2.63. This is paid using our secure online 'ParentPay' system. Your account must be in credit for your child to order a meal. More details can be found about this below

Free School Meals - Key Stage 2

From September 2026, all children in England from households receiving Universal Credit will automatically qualify for free school meals, removing the previous earnings threshold.

Those children who qualify for free school meals will naturally be able to have their dinner free of charge, so payment will not need to be provided.
