PROJECTS: FUNDRAISING

Every year we undertake a variety of fundraising activities with the children for national and local causes and also for our own Nurture Nursery.

 

These have included:

 

Sponsored obstacle course

• Cake sales
• Christmas Jumper Week: Save the Children
• National Autism Awareness month 
• World Downs Syndrome Day: Odd Socks
• Children in Need
• Food Bank donations
• Raffles: Easter and Christmas
• Christmas family stay and play session

 

We are currently undertaking a larger fundraising project to raise money for a new and exciting outdoor learning space. 

 

Fundraising Project Vision: To provide children with an opportunity to be educated outdoors in a log cabin which will offer a learning environment that is unique, calm and inspirational.

 

This distinctive structure will provide a special haven for children; they will be able to learn in a tranquil, cosy and stimulating environment.  This innovative teaching space will be used every day, whatever the weather.  It will be a place for group work; and an ideal space to engage children with additional needs.

 

Almost all of the children who attend our nursery in Warwickshire are from households which live in areas of high deprivation according to the Indecencies of Multiple Deprivation (2015).  They have limited opportunities and experiences, which affects their early development. Research tells us that effective outside learning makes children more resilient, confident, independent and creative, and at the same time provides so much fun.

 

We have applied for local and national grants from Nuneaton and Bedworth Councillors grant scheme, The Nicholas Chamberlaine Trust and Tesco Community Grants: Bags for help.

 

Staff have also been undertaking events to raise funds, including:  Wolf Run, sponsored bike rides and sponsored silences!!

 

 

   GOAL: £10,000
