RSE
RSE Consultation
The Department for Education announced changes to Relationships and Sex Education (RSE). These changes have now come into effect in all schools, and we are following the statutory requirements. This means that we have reviewed our RSE curriculum and policy, so we can be sure our provision meets the Government criteria and is appropriate for our children based on:
Age
Physical and emotional maturity
Religious and cultural backgrounds
Special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)
What pupils need to know to be healthy and safe in school, in their personal relationships and in the wider world.
At St Michael's we value the education provided by the RSE and PSHE curriculum in preparing our children for the wider world, their place in it and to be respectful, tolerant and accepting of all. The Relationship and Sex Education Policy is linked below for you to read, or you can request a paper copy from the office.
Thank you for your continued support
