School Council
Vision Statement
Our school council is a group of people who:
1. Listen to what children think and take their opinion into account.
2. Work together to improve St. Michael’s and the community, making it a fantastic place to be.
3. Are committed to sharing information with the rest of the school about what has been discussed.
Each year our school council members are voted for fairly in year groups. We use this as an example of our British Value 'Democracy' to show children how living in a democratic country works. The children in year 6 take on additional roles of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Secretary to help run meetings and support the younger members of the council.
'We are the voice of the pupils at our school, so we include everyone in what we do, so that we can inspire others to aim to achieve the highest standards.'
